Derby Bike PopUp is here to meet the demand for quality bike servicing and repairs in Derby and the surrounding area.
I offer an exclusively mobile bike maintenance service and uniquely I travel to you by bike and do all the work on your doorstep!

Servicing & Repairs
I offer a mobile repair service, I travel to you by bike and bring my tools with me!
My main offer is the Essential Service where I check and adjust all of the key components on your bike but I can also work on specific areas or do more specialist jobs if necessary.

Prices are for labour only, parts are charged at RRP.
We welcome cash or card payments.
The following distance surcharges apply (per visit):
Times are calculated using Google Maps, travelling by bike from DE1 3AZ via the safest route.
- Up to 10 minutes - FREE
- Up to 20 minutes - £5
- Up to 30 minutes - £10
- Up to 45 minutes - £15
- Over 45 minutes - Get in touch!
Main Services
Inspection - £10
- A full inspection of your bike
If you choose to have a service within 7 days, the price of the inspection will be deducted from the cost of the service
Basic Service - £30
- A full inspection of your bike
- Frame is checked
- Wheels are checked for true (straightness)
- Brakes are balanced and tightened
- Gears are indexed
- Tyres are inflated, drivechain is wiped and re-lubricated
Essential Service - £45
- A full inspection of your bike
- Frame is checked
- Wheels are checked for true (straightness)
- Brakes are balanced and tightened
- Cables and pads replaced if necessary
- Gears are tuned and indexed
- Cables are replaced if necessary
- Tyres are inflated, drivechain is wiped and re-lubricated
Advanced Service - £75
- A full inspection of your bike
- Frame is checked
- Wheels are checked for true (straightness), minor adjustments applied
- Brakes are balanced and tightened, cabling and pads are replaced as needed
- Gears are tuned and indexed, cabling and parts replaced as needed
- Tyres are inflated, drivechain is wiped and re-lubricated
- Nuts and bolts are checked and adjusted if necessary including crank, stem and handlebar clamp
- Hubs are checked for play (looseness) and adjusted if needed
- Headset and bottom bracket are checked for play and adjusted if applicable
Additional Services
Wheel Servicing
- Puncture repair - £10 each
- Fit tyre or tube - £10 per wheel
- Fit tyre or tube (Electric or Hub gear bike) - £15 per wheel
- Wheel truing (includes brake balance and adjustment) - £25 per wheel
Wheel truing is the act of correcting a bent wheel. One of the problems you can face with an out-of-true wheel is unwanted contact with the brake pads making your riding more strenuous and wearing the brakes pads out more quickly.
Other
- Bar Tape fitting - £20
- Build a bike (boxed prebuilt, includes fit and essential adjustments) - £30
- Build a bike (from frameset, includes fit and essential adjustments) - £100

About / Contact
My name is Hardy, a Derby based cycling enthusiast and filmmaker of Kurdish heritage.
I first started cycling in February 2015 as a more reliable means of getting to and from work in London, where I used to live. I have been riding a bike daily ever since both for commuting and for leisure.
Over the years I have taught myself to repair every aspect of my own bikes, deconstructing and building them back up many times and swapping out and servicing every component.
Since moving to Derby I have had the pleasure of volunteering my services to the Bike Back project in the city and now apply my skill and passion for bikes to get you back on two wheels.
